So he'll do anything to protect him! He's INCREDIBLY HAPPY that a human Yuu exists and didn't have to be turned into something he hates! He's still really concerned about what this Yuu has been through, too. Because it is Yuu who in Mika's au that inspired Mika to KEEP GOING and BE MORE SHOUNEN and he's afraid of seeing Yuu broken. He wants Yuu to depend on him more, like how he's depended on Yuu.
Besides that, Yuu is his family, and more than that the person who he really connected with and loved and was equals with when they were younger. Being accepted by Yuu was always a big deal to Mika, to get that affection returned moreso. He doesn't have the whole thing about being needed like Yuu does, but Mika DOES have a need to be with the people he loves and to protect them so he can have a place where he is welcome and being able to KEEP that and DO RIGHT by it!! He's very concious of what the previous Mikas have done in Court for that reason, and what impressions they've given and he's a little unnerved about it especially when it comes to being with Yuu.
That said: He's still pretty overwhelmed that kissing and so on IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING? I mean Mika was no virgin like Yuu was but he still was perfectly happy to just be head over heels for Yuu forever without doing anything but being best bros, and he never really expected that stuff from Yuu either. Now that he is ALLOWED to do that stuff with Yuu though, he's totally going for it because Mika recognizes he is a greedy person with a lot of bottled up desires at this point. And it's different from Mika's past experiences if only because he actually TRUSTS YUU A LOT. But yeah he suspects Yuu is wary of Mika because Mika makes Bad Decisions and he can't blame Yuu for it, even if it hurts him. Um Mika is unsettled by the idea of another him that became a vampire because he knows he'd rather be DEAD. And he's aware of how isolated he must have been, how much it would have destroyed him. He's not sure he'd like vampire Mika either, because to him it sounds like the ULTIMATE personification of his failures and flaws...? Literally, all his terribleness exaggerated to a huge degree. The idea makes him uncomfortable, and he's uncomfortable with people imposing this image of the other Mika onto him, because while it's him it's also. Not. And he doesn't want to be a replacement Mika. Especially because vampire Mika is him, broken. And Mika can't afford to think about being broken like that. He can't afford to think about how it would probably hurt to see a human, stronger Mika versus a vampire, weaker Mika because it pains him in a lot of ways.
That said, he also sympathizes with vampire Mika and glad he found some measure of happiness with Yuu. He understands that Mika is probably like HIS Yuu, and didn't deserve what had happened to him and is probably incredibly angry with himself and needs a support system far more than HE does. And he is grateful that he gets to have a lot of happiness with human Yuu because of the progress vampire him made! Except he also feels guilty over it, feels like he's taking advantage. For a lot of reasons, but especially those said above. And he doesn't want to give it up.
He's not sure what would happen if vampire Mika showed up. He suspects he'll have difficulty living with him, let alone accepting him. And that scares Mika more than anything. He has a lot of conflicting feelings.And there's a lot of lying to himself going on here too, because he can't be entirely honest about his feelings about himself either.
