Summary: Teeny baby Yuu on a mission to go and GET INTO THE SUPER AWESOME VAMPIRE-SLAYING SQUAD. except glen finds him attacking some poor soldiers starts complaining about how he picked up some noisy thing, maybe he should have left it where he found it, what a troublesome kid he has, etc, etc, and then. knocks him out cold because it's way easier than dealing with Yuu, right?
And then Yuu gets REALLY MAD for Glen getting in the way!! of his revenge!! And Glen complains, he can't understand a kid's language, so Yuu yells about how HE'S NOT A KID HE PRACTICES SWINGING HIS SWORD TEN THOUSAND TIMES A DAY. And that he wants a real sword that can kill vampires, not this wooden crap!
But nah, he's not ready, Glen knows what it means to be ready to go out to war and it's not this shit. Yuu's a tiny baby who's shittily weak and only thinks about revenge, he can't even protect anyone.
And Glen explains, there is another purpose for learning how to use a sword aside from revenge, and that's protecting others. And if Yuu can't find that, if Yuu can't find something he wants to protect, he'll never become strong.
Yuu complains that he has nothing to protect anymore, his parents abandoned him, the family he made in an orphanage all died, there is nothing for him to protect anymore and he--starts crying. Glen says he's not allowed a weapon and that's the end of this talk and he's out of here.
And the next thing Yuu knows, there's an alarm going off, a vampire's in the city, and he runs the fuck out of there to go after it with his wooden sword. He finds a vampire going after a little girl and. stops to think about how it has NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM but then he jumps out in front of her to protect her anyway.
AND GLEN SAVES THEM BOTH then gives Yuu a sword.
"You protected them. You chose to protect someone over your revenge." "That's wro...!" "It's not wrong. Unlike me, you're kind. That's why no matter what you aren't able to live on revenge alone."
"If it won't be for revenge, you can use a weapon. Make friends, and swing this sword in order to protect someone."
Effects: +500 GLEEEEEEEEN points +1000 NEED TO PROTECT + fighting for revenge is fucking pointless if you've got nothing to protect + wow this vampire killing squad must be MEGA COOL
